Miscellany

A repository for self-aggrandizing propaganda.

(Is that redundant?)

One-Offs

A few projects I did for the fun of it. Click on images to enlarge.

The guy I work with always drives a pickup truck, and always has a receiver hitch fitted. Whenever he backs into a parking space, he jokes about using the receiver to take "core samples" from car bumpers, brick walls, trees, etc. To give him another option, I made him a Big Cee Bumper Awl out of a wood splitting wedge. I told him that I'm not liable if he actually drives around with it installed!

And here's my answer to the ubitiquous KLR tool tube: The Big Cee Ceegar Tube!

Ride Shots

I do actually ride my KLR from time to time, rather than just work on it... Click on images to enlarge.

The 2002 LA-Barstow-Vegas ride: Day 1 on the left, day 2 on the right. Despite the dry picture, it rained (and snowed) much of day one, and heavily through the morning of day 2. The picture from Day 2 is in the middle of Afton Canyon, about 30 miles of sandy wash. I think it was actually a little easier than last year, when it was dry, because the sand was denser. Still a workout, though.
